7 Money Making Ideas for Martial Artists With Low Startup Costs"

It's Like Printing Money

There are more ways to make money with Martial Arts other than coaching or going pro.

Naturally, most martial artists will journey down the path of coaching because as martial artists, most of us are more passionate about sharing our passion and teaching others.

So with this in mind, as entrepreneurs, how can we still teach & share our passion while increasing our profit margins simultaneously?

Well here are some ideas you can use and each idea has either no or low start-up cost and allows you to service more people while saving you time!

Let’s begin!

1.) People pay for knowledge so write a book!

Writing costs nothing to get started!

It’s the easiest way to increase the amount of money you make as a martial artist as well because you’re getting paid to write & share your ideas with other people. The biggest advantage is that you only have to do the work once and continue to receive the benefits.

I took this exact route myself. It allowed me to train my clients, whether that be 1on1 or group sessions, and I would have my books in the background to catch my client’s attention.

At the end of a training session, it can easily turn into a sale. With the right marketing or even just posting content on social media, I can continue to make sales even while I’m asleep.

I genuinely believe every martial artist should write & publish a book of some kind, not just for the money, but to share your, martial wisdom with the rest of the world.

2.) Get Paid To Promote Other People's Products

Affiliate marketing has been taking a lot of new entrepreneurs by storm due to how easy it is to get started.

All you’re doing is finding different products that have already proven to work and generate sales, using that product for yourself, promoting that same product to your audience, and receiving a commission for every sale.

For example, say you're a fan of a certain company MMA Gloves and you promote them a lot, you can receive an affiliate link from that brand and get a commission for every sale you make.

This works for all types of brands:

  • clothing brands

  • equipment brands

  • supplement brands

  • even service-based businesses

All you have to do is promote the product or service you know your audience will benefit from.

3.) If you're not selling apparel, here’s why you should be!

Back in the day to start a clothing brand, you had to go buy shirts in bulk, buy a shirt press, and before you know it you’ve spent over $1K before even selling a single shirt.

Websites like Printful allow you to design your custom apparel, link them to your Shopify store, and print & fulfill orders without you ever having to track inventory! (I need to come up with some new designs myself)

This is the beauty of print-on-demand services. Saves you time, money, and stress. Giving you more time to continue teaching & doing what you do best!

If you want to try Printful out for yourself and make custom apparel for your business click here to get started with Printful today; you’ll be supporting the brand too so thank you in advance!

4.) Sell Your Training Routine

This is just as easy as writing because all you need is access to Google Docs or Canva and you can create a very simple, easy, follow-along workout plan.

These workout plans can be as long as you like them to be ranging from a 30-day fitness plan to an 8-week fitness plan. How you structure the plan is up to you. Just make sure you’re providing a quality training routine.

Selling workout plans is what I used to do when my clientele for personal training got slow or when I couldn’t take on any more clients.

It was effective because I already posted content daily of me working out & I already had built a portfolio of transformations. So the people who wanted to train with me but couldn’t get to me were able to utilize my fitness plans.

This was my first time creating a digital product as well and to this day I still stand by them because I still have people who come to me for Personal Training but I am not taking new clients.

So redirecting those customers to my 30-Day FighterFit Boxing Program, for example, is a way for me to still “train” clients without having to.

If you want to take it a step further, you could invest in software that allows you to create workout plans and communicate with your clients.

It just depends on your goal and how you want to run your business( or should I say life).
